One of the most common questions we get is simple. What cars can actually take part?
The Lombard Rally Festival is designed to get cars out of garages and back into action. Many of the vehicles you see at our events are no longer competing, but still have plenty to offer.
This is not a competitive rally. It is a demonstration event, which means the requirements are more accessible.
Cars do not need to meet current competition regulations. If your car is no longer eligible for stage rallying due to expired safety equipment or paperwork, it may still be suitable here.
Typical examples include:
- Cars with out-of-date belts or seats
- Vehicles without a current Motorsport UK licence
- Cars without a logbook
- Historic rally cars no longer used competitively
All vehicles go through basic safety scrutineering to ensure they are safe to run.
The focus is on enjoying the cars, hearing them on the stage, and sharing them with others.
If you have a car sitting unused, this is your opportunity to bring it back out.
