As many motorsport enthusiasts will know, Whizzo passed away on Friday. We will not repeat his many motorsport successes here, but in 1964 he won the first Welsh International Rally in his Mini Cooper. He went on to record many other successes over the years, both racing and rallying. Barrie wanted to enter Lombard Rally Bath, but recently had to give up his driving licence. He passed his Welsh Rally winning Mini to Andy “Ace” Harrison who has been invited by the organisers to run at the front of the field in the Mini.
Let’s all remember a motorsport legend on 20th October, a man who could drive any car quickly, often whilst telling a good tale at the same time. The tales got taller and wilder in the Bar afterwards. Watch out for 120 MNP.
